Based at the foothills of the Cheviots you have great walking country right on your doorstep.
When you arrive at Stable Cottage there is a large private parking area continuing along a paved pathway to the main door and immediately into a bright and spacious lobby with tiled floor, hanging space for outdoor clothing. The bathroom is to the left and also has tiled flooring with a separate shower enclosure, wash basin integrated into a range of cabinets, soft closing WC, heated towel rail and electric shaver point. There is plenty of natural light and a sensor illuminated mirror cabinet mounted above the wash basin.
Moving on from the lobby into the living space, with the kitchen area to the left and the lounge to the right - the flooring throughout is solid oak. The kitchen is modern, finished in oak shaker style with panoramic views of unspoiled countryside. There is a range of modern and practical appliances - all you could ever need - including electric oven and hob with illuminated extractor hood, microwave, toaster, washing machine, fridge with large freezer compartment and dishwasher. A comfortable dining table with 4 padded chairs provides a convenient separation between the kitchen and lounge areas.
The lounge / living area has a flat screen Freeview TV, DVD / CD player, 2 seat settee, armchairs and a bright comforting rug. The room has a deep window on two sides offering panoramic views of unspoiled countryside and offering plenty of natural light. Both bedrooms are of similar size and are accessed from the lounge area. The Double Bedroom has wall mounted reading lights and fitted slim line mirrored wardrobes giving plenty of storage space. A recessed window enables pleasant views to the south. Bedroom 2 is also a double and has wall mounted reading lights and fitted slim line mirrored wardrobes with adequate storage space. A recessed window enables pleasant views to the front door of the cottage and the private gardens beyond.
Around Stable Cottage there is a private enclosed garden with lawn which captures the final rays of sunshine each day before it disappears below the surrounding hillsides. There is a selection of garden furniture and a BBQ for use in the spring and summer months. There is also an additional secure storage area for walking or cycling equipment.
