Perhaps the most famous (and arguably the most popular) attraction in the County is Alnwick Castle, which every Harry Potter fan will be able to tell you was featured in the first two films as Hogwarts. It's a great day out with broomstick training and you can even learn about the other Harry, the Northumbrian hero Harry Hotspur. There are loads of other Castles to grab the imagination including Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, Warkworth, Dunstanburgh and grand houses like the innovative Cragside House, Gardens and Estate. There are loads of other things to do to entertain the kids, take a trip to one of the safe, clean, glorious sandy beaches in the Country, jump on a boat over to see the puffins and seals on the Farne Islands or explore one of the many family centred museums like Woodhorn in Ashington.
