The Villages of Northumberland are where you'll find the real heart and character of our great County. Small communities that welcome visitors and in some cases rely on tourism to not only survive, but flourish. They offer the perfect balance of amenities, shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants while still having a slower, quieter pace of life than most other places in the Country. The true character is what you'll find in the people here, but we'll leave that for you to discover yourselves.
Idyllic rural Villages - peace & escape
Picture postcard Villages almost at every turn from the Coast right through to the heart of the Northumberland National Park. You'll be amazed at what you'll find in our Villages and the warm welcome you'll receive from our people.
We all have our favourite Villages and places to visit, but you can't get much better than our home of Rothbury. It's slap bang in the middle of the County so you couldn't ask for a better base to discover all the Northumberland has to offer, from the Northumberland National Park to the stunning coast.
